After having my first daughter I employed a life coach as I was unsure of where I was heading and needed to take some time and space for myself.
Through this coaching I really did begin to see the world through new eyes.
There were so many opportunities that I never knew I had. I found resources and talents in myself that I never knew where there and found a new energy and passion for coaching and working with parents.
I was so impressed at the results I decided to train with The Coaching Academy, London - Europe's largest trainer of professional coaches. After a full year's training I graduated with a distinction and their Advanced Diploma in Life Coaching which is accredited by the Open College Network. I went on to train as an NLP Practitioner and gained advanced communication skills to use alongside my coaching .
I now own Curve Coaching and Parenting providing life coaching, parent coaching and professional training and regularly contribute to local and national media on coaching issues.
Running Curve is the culmination of 10 years working with adults and children in a broad range of jobs from being a nanny, training and consultancy, social worker and therapeutic work. I am also a founding member of UK Parent Coaches.
Alongside my professional coaching qualification I also hold a Masters Degree specifically in social work with children and families. I have qualifications in child development, group work and continue to work for local authorities and large organisations.
